Default Excel 2003 headers

sheesh, I don't understand most of the posted questions, much less the
answers pertaining to Excel...if anyone can help....I'm using Excel 2003,
just want to have a simple 6 word Header, centered, and that 3 sectioned
jobie-do custom header is not allowing me to centerand space this silly
little title so that it looks decent.
Other than re-purchase office 98 (which I love and revere)(and may do
anyhow) can anyone tell me how to do the old fashoned centering and spacing
process?
Thanks!
Sandy
