Issue with copy & paste?

Hi guys, I have a question.

Why is it that every time after I had run a macro on a set of data, if
I copy and paste another set of data over the original data and try to
run the macro again, the macro does not work?

I always have to open a fresh copy of the spreadsheet, then copy and
paste values into the cells.

Why is that?

Thanks in advance.

-Tom
