Advnced notification via Outlook
 

I test commercial fire alarm systems and use Excel to keep track of my
clients / contracts. The tests are performed anually and I need
notification 45 days in advance of the 1 year anniversary of the
previous test. Is there any way to set up Excel to monitor my "Test
Date" column and send me email notification automatically? Or does my
question make absolutely no sense whatsoever?

You can use a macro like this

And run it every day or use Ontime to do it

But you have a problem with the Outlook security warning

I forgot : In the Yes/No column use a formula that will display Yes if it is 45 days in advance.

Thanks for the info, but I think I'm a little out of my league here.
I've never worked with macros or anything like that.

Basically, Column F in my sheet is full of dates( 14-Nov-04 ). I'm
trying to set things up so that it would automatically email me on
06-Oct-05 with the customer info so that I can set up the next test.
Will the info you supplied do this and if so can I just copy and paste
(obviously changing the notification text)?

If it's not possible to do this, is there a program that you know of
that might be able to do this?

Maybe they block it or your firewall is doing it
