What Custom View in MS Excel is used for?

What is the advantage of using custom view in Microsoft Excel? What does it
gives me?

Ragdyer

Did you ever open a large WB, and then spend time scrolling and navigating
to get to the information you need, or have different departments say that
they can't find the data that they need?

Did the boss ever tell you to create another sheet, just for him, without
all the
itemizations, so he could just look at the totals, when you know all the
information was on the present sheet, and all he would have to do would be
to hide some rows and columns? ... BUT ... he's the boss, and you can't tell
him to do that himself!

Did you ever spend time creating different print set-ups for each separate
department, and then have to do it all over again the next day?

Did you ever highlight a particular section of the sheet for a department
head, and then have all the other department heads want *almost* the same
set-up for their own departments?

There's an article here that describes Custom Views, and how to use them:
