how to insert row or delete while the auto filter is turn on?
 

it's very inconvinient for me to turn of the auto filter each time when i
tried to insert or delete row frm my excel workbook.then i need to turn the
auto filter on again since i need to sort my data. Is there any way to solve
my problem?

You can delete as many rows as you like when autofilter is enabled. And I've
never had trouble sorting rows with autofilter enabled.

But if you meant you have to turn off autofilter when you want to insert/delete
columns, then you could upgrade to xl2002/xl2003. You can delete columns from
an autofilter range in those versions.
