Excel gridlines not behaving
I created a form in Excel 2003 and changed the borders of unnessessary cells
to white so the user isn't distracted. I've done this many times with no problem. This time though for some reason any borders that have been set to white, print out as black lines. |
1. Borders are formatted by the user.
2. Gridlines are formatted by Excel. You can choose to print gridlines under File--Page setup, Sheet tab. Given those truths, it sounds to me like you have turned ON printing of gridlines. It also seems that you should remove all borders (to get rid of the white ones), put borders ONLY around the cells you want them, and then turn off viewing of gridlines so you don't see them (hence, the borders look "white").
