help with sumif to calculate column
Good morning, I was wondering if someone can help me with a sumif formula. I have a column where either P, I, or NT in entered. I would like to add up each of the P's, I's and NT's. ex: cell I38 would calculate all P entries in column X cell I40 would calculate all I entries in column X cell I42 would calculate all NT entries in columnX Thanks for your help :) -- rvnwdr ------------------------------------------------------------------------ rvnwdr's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=23903 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=383108 |
Hi, if you just want to count the occurrences of P, I and NT use =COUNTIF(X:X,"P") HTH. -- greg7468 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ greg7468's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=9031 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=383108 |

What formula did you use?
What's in those ranges when the fields are missing? rvnwdr wrote: Because not all fields are entered I am getting a #value.
