How do I Select Multiple entries from Valid list for a Cell
 

I want to have the ability to select multiple entries from a Valid List of
predefined entries. I would like each data item on a separate line within
the cell (much like doing an alt-Return.

You can do this with programming. There's a sample file here that lets
you select multiple items from a data validation list:

Under Data Validation, look for 'Select Multiple Items from Dropdown List'
