Percentage function formula
Hello, I have inserted my sheet to give you an idea of what I am trying to do. My boss wants the freight/fuel plus tax(which is the totalH/C) to be costed out to each job based on the % that the individual job costs are in relation to the whole invoice. I have instructed the sheet to take the total job cost and find what % it is to the 318.44 and then I told it to take that % x the 37.61 (H/C) to add that cost for a total cost, but the total at the bottom for H/C do not equal the H/C which then throws off the cost. How do I get the %'s accurate so that my H/C is correct? I have a difference of $4.45. Your percentages do not add up to 100 You need to divide each individual job cost into the sum of the job costs not into the invoice total.i.e. 171.61 into 280.83 to get 61.1085% etc. -- Greetings from New Zealand Bill K "gracious" wrote in message ... Your problem may be a rounding problem. spread sheets don't attach to what I
