Neil

Reference cells from another worksheet problem

Worksheet call MAIN
Worksheet call OTHER

In a cell on the OTHER worksheet I have =MAIN!A1. The value in A1 in the
MAIN worksheet is space, but it appears as 0.0.0000 in the cell on OTHER
which has a format of general. How do I get rid of 0.0.0000.

Hi Neil,

Recheck your formula. I tried what you wrote and it worked for me. You
might want to Right click the cell in question and try Number/Text.

Hope this helps

Neil

Hi Keith,

Formula is =MAIN!W8

W8 is blank. Whether format is general or text, the value that appears in
the cell on the Other worksheet still appears as 0.0.0000. I then try to
reset the format on the other worksheet cell from general to text and when I
do this it changes the value from 0.0.0000 to 0.

Any other thoughts.

Thanks.
