Question Gridlines and Color Palette

Is there a way to show an Excel chart's gridlines in a series of cells if I use a color pallete in those cells?

If you fill the cells with colour, it covers the gridlines.
You can add borders to the cells, by using the Borders palette on the
toolbar, or FormatCells.
