what does "#########" mean?

N Harkawat

means that the result is too big to fit in the column width

Could mean a couple of things:

1) The column width is not wide enough to display the number in the cell.
Expand the column to see the entire number (or reformat the number to reduce
it's display width requirements.)
2) The cell contains a formula that results in a "negative time"
calculation. Negative times can't be displayed in Excel, no matter how wide
the column.

There may be others, but those are the 2 that come to mind.

One more comes to mind.

When a cell is formatted as Text and character length is between 256 and 1024
you can get the ###########

Format to General and usually clears up.
