Will the column limit be over 256?
 

Does MicroSoft have plan to increase the column limit to above 256 in the
future version of Excel? if yes, when?

No one has told me. Maybe an MVP might be privy to such news.

If someone was privy to that (I'm not), they couldn't tell you due to
their non-disclosure agreement.
