Numbers divided by 100

I just started a new project where I work on a computer with Excel 97.
When I enter a number into a cell, e.g. the number 8 it turns it into 0,08.
Of course I've checked the format of the cells and they are all set to
standard. If I change it to "numbers" (or what ever it's called in the
english version) it still divides everythings I put into the cells with 100.
Can anyone help me with where this setting can be changed?
Thanks!

Jane,

Go to ToolsOptions and on the Edit tab, check if the 'Fixed Decimal' option
is checked. If so, uncheck it.

Hi Bob,

Can I bother you one more time: My Excel is a Danish version, and I'm having
trouble finding the path you described. Where do I find "Tools"? Is it one of
the functions in the main menu or?
Thanks again!

Hi again,

I found it! And you were right, when I unclicked "fixed decimal" it worked
normally again. Thank you very much!
