Numbers divided by 100
I just started a new project where I work on a computer with Excel 97.
When I enter a number into a cell, e.g. the number 8 it turns it into 0,08. Of course I've checked the format of the cells and they are all set to standard. If I change it to "numbers" (or what ever it's called in the english version) it still divides everythings I put into the cells with 100. Can anyone help me with where this setting can be changed? Thanks! |
Jane,
Go to ToolsOptions and on the Edit tab, check if the 'Fixed Decimal' option is checked. If so, uncheck it. -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "Janepige" wrote in message ... I just started a new project where I work on a computer with Excel 97. Hi Bob,
Can I bother you one more time: My Excel is a Danish version, and I'm having trouble finding the path you described. Where do I find "Tools"? Is it one of the functions in the main menu or? Thanks again! "Bob Phillips" skrev: Jane, Go to ToolsOptions and on the Edit tab, check if the 'Fixed Decimal' option is checked. Hi again,
I found it! And you were right, when I unclicked "fixed decimal" it worked normally again. Thank you very much!
