Indirect vs. Index
Hi, can someone explain to me what's the main difference between INDIRECT and
INDEX? When should we use indirect and when should we use index? Thank you in advance. WJ |
They are two largely unrelated functions. Which to use depends on
what you want to accomplish. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "WJ" wrote in message ... I think Indirect and Index can both be used to return the value of a cell at
a specific location. The difference is that Indirect will return a fixed reference, but index cannot do that. Am I correct? "Chip Pearson" wrote: They are two largely unrelated functions.
