excel

well, i go two workbooks, i'm trying to update one workbook using the
contents of the second one. i guess i could use copy and paste, would anyone
have a better and less time consuming option?

AJG

You could link the two workbooks.
Go to workbook one. Go to an empty cell. Key "+" (or "=") and then go into
the second workbook and select the cell you want linked.
You can then copy the formula if you want other cells linked to the same
workbook.
Of course, it will be done on a relative basis.
Hope that's what you were asking.

thank you for replying, i finally imported both worksheets into access, i ran
an update query. seems like that the update is working but i may still have
to edit the relationship of the two tables so i will be able to view the
update automatically instead of expanding each units to finf out if an update
was performed. would you have any other recommendations?

Hi JR.
I hope you got a response from someone.
I've never done an update query in Access, so I don't know that I'd be able
to help you. I've done queries in Access, just never an update query.
