Is there a way to password protect a column?
Hi everyone,
I need to send some workbook to my supplier an in every sheet I need to have password-protected columns (not all just some of them). Is there an easy way to do so, or you have to create a VBA application that will protect only the column that you want to be protected. Thanks in advance, P-A |
highlight the column / format / cells / protection / check locked
Then password protect the sheet. That feature works with "locked" format option that can be set for individual cell, rows, cols, etc. |
Excel's worksheet protection is pretty much made to stop people from making
typing errors. It can be defeated quite quickly. If you're looking at this as a security measure, excel isn't the correct tool.
