Problem When Opening Excel97
 

Using Office87 Excel on Win XP PRO.

Each time that XL is opened, an error message is shown saying that ...
A file with the same name FILENAME.XLS is already open. You cannot
open two documents with the same name , even if in a different
folder....


AFAIK, there is not any other XL file open. So. I changed the
filename to be Dupe_FILENAME.XLS. The same error message appears when
I open the Dupe_FILENAME.XLS.

Any suggestions/thoughts why I am getting this error message?
