How do I copy filtered rows in excel
I am running Microsoft Excel 2002, the problem I am having is I have a whole
database of information with the top row being a fileter for each inidividual column, so that I can find specific information in that column when I filter som information so that my data is listed in the rows only with the relevant information the rows go from (ex. 121,134,156...) with the inbetween lines being invisible, the problem is that when I try to copy/cut a group of these filtered lines I can do it and than paste the information into my new sheet and only the copied/cut lines will appear but when i go back to the original sheet the invisble lines that i did not select are also missing. Does anyone know how I prevent this. Thanks for your help |
Select the filtered range, press f5, click special and select visible cells
only, copy and paste Regards, Peo Sjoblom "BMX19" wrote: I am running Microsoft Excel 2002, the problem I am having is I have a whole database of information with the top row being a fileter for each inidividual column, so that I can find specific information in that column when I filter som information so that my data is listed in the rows only with the relevant information the rows go from (ex. 121,134,156...) with the inbetween lines being invisible, the problem is that when I try to copy/cut a group of these filtered lines I can do it and than paste the information into my new sheet and only the copied/cut lines will appear but when i go back to the original sheet the invisble lines that i did not select are also missing.
