Custom Filter Problem

After I 'auto filter', I use the drop down menu to 'custom filter'. If I try
to choose 'equals = X' AND 'equals = Y', I get no records shown. The same
thing occurs trying 'contains' instead of 'equals'. It will work properly if
I'm choosing 'does not equal X' AND 'does not equal Y'....

Barb R.

In the field after equals are you putting "= X" or "X"? You should put in
the value that you want to match. Am I missing something?

For this to work, BOTH conditions have to be fulfilled. Perhaps you need to
specify
'equals X' OR 'equals Y' then if one or the other is true you get a result.
Could you supply some specific examples which will help finding you a
solution.
