Excel Password Removal

I have a file that I need to remove the password. I know the password, but
it gets annoying having to type it in every time I open the file. I have
been to the Tools + Protection, but there is no unprotect workbook.
Suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Age

The open password is set in the File SaveAs menu, button Tools, menu
General Options.

Or somewhere else, this is version and language dependent.

HTH. Best wishes Harald

Sounds like a file password. Checkout FileSave AsToolsGeneral Options
and see if Password to Open has been set. If so, delete it.

Do a File;Save As, then click on Tools;General Options and remove the
password. This is for XP. If you have another version, the exact buttons you
click may be different.
