Work menu

Having used and seen the advantages of the Work Menu in MS Word, I'm
surprised that this is not available in Excel 2000 or 2003 (unless someone
knows better)

I've managed to create something similar using macros in an Add-in but, as
yet, have not been able to find a way of selecting one of the new menu
options and deleting it when it's no longer required.

Has anyone out there ever tried anything like this?
