Excel printing problem - won't print cell under a "fill effect" bo
This works fine in version 2000, but doesn't in 2003. I have an Excel
spreadsheet that has a percent (which is referencing another cell) and over top of it there's a colored text box that has been set to transparent. The color was set with "fill effects" and placed over top of the number. Print preview shows that the number behind it should print (...I even changed the box to 'send to back' and it didn't work), but only the box printed. He did this same thing on version 2000 and it worked fine. We changed it to a solid color and didn't use "fill effects", changing the transparency, as we did before and that printed fine. Again, this is a workaround, but we would like to use "fill effects." The problem is that when using "fill effects" the number behind it doesn't print. (I tried this on 2 separate printers and it works the same. Is this a change in version 2003, where you can't print cells behind "fill effects"? Thanks for your help! |
