Default Formula shows as the result?

When I link a cell within a workbook the formula shows where to result
should. How do I fix this.

Most probably, the cell was formatted as Text before you entered the
formula.

Change the format to "Number" or "General", then re-enter the formula.

Keyboard shortcut is:
Select the cell, then,
<Ctrl <Shift <~,
Then <F2,
Then <Enter.

Perhaps you're in formula view. Try (this works in 2000, not sure about
other versions) Control-` to see if you've inadvertently selected that mode.

Hope that helps!

The formula of the source cell, or the formula of the destination
cell...?

Hi Mangesh,

I believe it would be in the destination cell. But without an example
it would be hard to say.

An example needs to be posted.
