Distributing Excel Spreadsheets
Hi. I'm just curious about what the rules are on distributing an Excel
spreadsheet? This could probably come under the category for many things - such as an access database or a power point presentation, but i'm currently curious about Excel. Is it legal to sell a spreadsheet that has been created. I wouldn't persoanally be able to create one people would want to buy but i recently did an A-Level in ICT and one of our main projects was to create a speadsheet application for a fake cinema. That just got me wondering about the legalities of selling a spreadsheet to people. Would the same (what ever the answer is) be for an Access database? Thanks for any help you can give me on this - i didn't have much luck with Google! Matthew |
It is perfectly legal to sell an Excel workbook; however, users
will have to have their own copy of Excel. You can't give away Excel with your workbook. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "MattVonFat" wrote in message ... Hi.
