Excel and Delimited File
I want to move a large text file into Excel. I had thought about sending it
to the mainframe to put delimiters in and then reship it to Excel. However the file is so large I can't send the file to the mainframe. Is there a way the file can be broken down into pieces? Or is there an easy way to get the file delimited in Excel w/o sending it to the mainframe? Thanks so much. |
If that file is too large for the mainframe, I would guess that it's way too
large for excel. But if the data is laid out nicely, maybe just using fixed width file format would be sufficient. Another option would be to use your favorite text editor (wordpad???) to break the file into smaller pieces. djn wrote: I want to move a large text file into Excel.
