Better suited for excel or access

I have to build a database which would contain the name of a portfolio, its
largest and second largest concentration, and the percentages each of these
concentrations make up of the total portfolio. Then I need to find some way
where I can easily choose a specific concentration, and have all of the
portfolios that are affected (whether largest or second largest) displayed.
I am not sure whether Excel or Access is better suited for this task. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

NBUCK,

Excel will work fine, as long as your don't have over 65000 portfolios.

After you have entered all your data, simply apply the autofilter, and you
can show only those that have, for example, largest concentration values
between 15% and 25%, if that is what you want, or those where the second
largert concentration is greater than 18%, etc. etc.

where
you want either first or second to be greater than a certain value, you may
need to use a 'helper' column of formulas on which to filter.
