Auto-Filter in Excel
Is there a maximum number of records allowed in Auto-Filter?
|
The dropdown list can only display 1000 items but you can overcome that

Not to the best of my knowledge, however there is a maximum of items which
will be displayed in the select window. I have gotten around this by setting up a dummy column with something like =left(main column cell,1) and first using auto filter on this column to reduce the number of selections the other column will have available.
