Counting Checkmarks

Is there a way to count checkmarks ,, I have a sheet with lots of checkmarks
in columns, I want to be able to have a count of the number of checkmarks in
any particluar column / row.

Depends on how you made them.

If you used the checkboxes from the Forms toolbar or the checkboxes from the
control toolbox toolbar, you could have used a linked cell to represent the
value in each checkbox.

Then you could just use a formula like:
=countif(a1:axxx,true)
where a1:Axxxx were those linked cells.

If you didn't assign a linked cell, then you could use a macro. But that code
would depend on what type of checkbox you used. I think it's easier using
linked cells.
