Force content in closed workbook

Can you force a content or item into a closed workbook with a receiving
formula?

example:
copy C2 contents and paste them into R45 in a closed book?

i am having trouble with carrying over a variable between 2 macros. i need (
in macro 1, to select and copy the contents of C2 and in macro 2 ( on another
workbook ), use the value to carry on its procedure. Can this be acheived?

Regards,

Nigel

Nigel,

See my reply to your other question in excel.misc, but you'll need the
workbook open.
