Auto Fill Format or Copying Formulas
 

When using auto fill (or copy paste)to copy a formula in a spreadsheet it is
copying the value rather than the formula, this has happened on several
different spreadsheets lately and I can't figure out how to format the cell
to accept the formula rather than the value.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure that excel is automatic calculation mode.

In xl2003 menus, it's tools|options|calculation tab.
