Excel error: "The path you entered, ---------- , is too long. "
I get this error and must make the file name shorter even for files
previously saved and used. Is there a way to increase the allowable characters for a file name. Even when opening a previously save file and simply hit resave, the name must be shortened. |

Maybe you can copy/move the file to a path that has a shorter length--kind of
like: C:\onlytemp\yourfilename.xls Then open it from there, save it there, and move it back where it belongs using windows explorer when you're done. 1122Andy wrote: I get this error and must make the file name shorter even for files previously saved and used.
