Hi,

Tools|Options - general tab and uncheck R1C1

In XL2003 and earlier... Tools/Options from the menu bar, click General tab,
uncheck the first item ("R1C1 reference style").

And for XL2007, click Office Button, Excel Options Button, select Formulas
from the left hand listing and uncheck "R1C1 reference style" in the
"Working with formulas" section in the right hand listing.
