Shared workbooks

When I open a workbook it comes up as shared and it causes delays when
saving. i'm the only person on my system so don't need "shared". How do I
remove the shared attribute? Thanks, Kris

In xl2003 menus:
Tools|Share Workbook|Editing tab
uncheck that "allow changes..." checkbox.
