how to display zero prefixes in worksheet cells such as phone numb

I want to know how to display a phone number with a zero prefix or a series
of digits with a prefix of zero e.g 0427. When I input 0427 the cell shows
427.

Format the cells to 0000. Right clickFormat CellsFrom the list select
'Custom' and enter 0000 in Type field. This will make sure the number you
enter is always displayed as 4 digits..
