Text boxes move on protected worksheet

Hi.

I have a workbook with several worksheets in it. I also have text boxes on
the worksheet with arrows pointing to certain numbers of the worksheet.
However, whenever I open this workbook I find that the text boxes & arrows,
have moved- they are no longer pointing to where I put them.
I have tried protecting the sheet, but when i open it the next time, the
textboxes still are not in the correct place as I had left them.
I have been chasing down the textboxes and putting them back where I want,
and then I protect the sheet I've just fixed.
Any ideas at how I can keep the text boxes from moving, or why they are
moving?

Thanks

Protecting it, but disabling the default option to allow users to still edit
objects on the sheet. Will report back if that solves it.

Thought I was on to something... but unfortunately not. Upon reopening
workbook, arrows were not pointing as they were when I closed it.
