Eliminate creation of backup document every time I open workbook?
How do I stop the creation of a 'backup' document every time I open a
workbook? I have one document that creates a new backup automatically each time I open the workbook, but that is not needed. I don't know if there is a macro code I need to turn off to prevent this happening~ Thank you |

Open your troublesome workbook
Show the File|SaveAs dialog Click on Tools|General Options|Uncheck "always create backup" and continue your save to overwrite that file.
