Splitting data in a cell
Hi all
I have a list of data in a column (see below) which I need to split the last 10 characters (date) from the rest. I can't use text to columns as no characted separates the data from the date, and I can't use fixed width as the data before the data varies from 2-4 charaters. Any ideas? Splitting data in a cell
Are you using Excel or Word? If Excel, try this.
Your data from below should be in column A, rows 1-the end. Cell C1 =right(a1,10) cell b1 =left(a1,len(a1)-len(c1)) That will split the cell into column B and C. Column C will hold the last 10 characters, column B will hold the rest.
