Open the world of Pivot Tables
I have been using pivot tables for quite some time now, and in my opinion the
world of pivot tables can be expanded greatly by the opportunity to allow "alpha" data to be reported back in the values section. I know - unconventional, but see example below: Raw Data: NAME CITY PROVINCE GEORGE TORONTO ON PAULA VANCOUVER BC FRANK REGINA SK SAM MONTREAL QC TYLER SUDBURY ON BRITTANY ST. JOHN NF BILLY CHARLOTTETOWN PEI Pivot table layout: Column label: Province Row label: Name Value City Requested results Province Name BC NF ON PEI QC SK Billy Charlottetown Brittany St. John Frank Regina George Toronto Paula Vancouver Sam Montreal Tyler Sudtury ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
