Default Formula Problems

I have never had this problem before. In fact the is the first time I am
seeing this. I enter a formula "=sum(F13:F14)" in a cell and it doesn't
evaluate. It just shows the formula.

I am assuming that the double quotes are only for this post and that you have
not included them in the formula. If so, then remove them.

Otherwise my guess is that the cell is formatted as Text. Re-format the cell
to general (or other number format)

After re-formatting you will probably have to edit the cell to get the
formula to work. Just select the cell, press F2 then Enter.
