Converting minutes to tenths

I have a spreadsheet which requiers the time to be displayed as hr:mm am/pm,
I then need a subtotal (i.e. 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM) equals 3:45 (three hours
and 45 minutes) but the sheet has to show the subtotal as 3.mm in other words
three hours and then the minutes converted to tenths. Any suggestions.

Converting minutes to tenths

Hmmm..., I assume you want to convert "time" to "Tenth" because you want to
calculate costs
If my assumption is correct - you DON'T need to do so.
You should multiply the result by 24 and format the cell as "Currency".

Multiply your result by 24. Format as a number.
