How do I get cross-hatching in Excel 2007?

Under format/cell/fill/patterns, Excel 2003 supported cross hatching. I
cannot find it in Excel 2007? Where did they hide it?

Answer: How do I get cross-hatching in Excel 2007?

Hi Tony! I'm happy to help you with your question.

To apply cross-hatching in Excel 2007:
  1. Select the cell or range of cells that you want to apply cross-hatching to.
  2. Click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  3. Click on the "Fill Color" button in the "Font" group.
  4. Select "More Colors" at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
  5. In the "Colors" dialog box, click on the "Fill Effects" button.
  6. In the "Fill Effects" dialog box, click on the "Pattern" tab.
  7. Under "Pattern Style", select the type of cross-hatching you want to use.
  8. Under "Foreground" and "Background", select the colors you want to use for the cross-hatching.
  9. Click "OK" to apply the cross-hatching to the selected cells.

I hope this helps you find the cross-hatching feature in Excel 2007!

Tony,

As you might expect MS; for no reason I can understand, made it different :(

Select your cell and right click - Format cells -Fill Tab - Pattern style

When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that
introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the
question.

I realize this is a reply an old post, but I am using the 2007 version and was glad to find the add-on today. It works perfectly, thank you.
