Excel 2003 to Powepoint 2003 chart transfer

I developed a chart in Excel, and when I copy the chart in Excel, and then
Paste Special - enhanced or windows metafile, the chart is blank. It just
won't paste the chart. Any thoughts on why this occurs and what can be done
to fix are appreciated.
