Trying to open file in Excel
I saved a file as an xls file and have opened it many times in the past.
Today I tried to open it but nothing shows up. I click on it and then input the password and it looks like it is opening but nothing shows on the screen except for the Excel stuff at the top. It shows up in documents and I have a shortcut for it on the desktop but no matter which way I try to open it, it won't open. I'm desperate to get it open. -- seacowpond |

What happens if you try opening excel first and use ctrl-o (file|open)?
What version of excel are you using? seacowpond wrote: I saved a file as an xls file and have opened it many times in the past. Today I tried to open it but nothing shows up. The most likely possibility is that the worksheet window may have been
accidently dragged out of view. After you open the file go to the menu View:Arrage All and select tiled. This will bring the window back into a visiable position. It is also possible that the workbook was inadvertantly hidden. Go to View:Unhide, if this selection is active click on it and see if you workbook is hidden. -- If this helps, please remember to click yes.
