Updating a workbook and macros
 

I have a workbook that get replaced by an external program which creates an
excel workbook with the same name. When the workbook is replaced is there
any way to have the macros stay rather than having to replace it each time.

Or

If I changed the name of the externally created workbook, is there a way to
code the macro to have the old workbooks updated with the info created by the
external program.
