Groupings and inconsistencies
I have two sheets in the same workbook (Excel XP SP3)
In one sheet if I select say rows 5 to 10 and do Data, Group Then the '+' sign is alongside row 4, and when I expand the group the '-' sign stays next to row 4 with the line extending down to row 10. This is what I want. In the other sheet if I do exactly the same but this time the '+' sign is next to row 11 and when expanded the '-' sign stays next to row 11 and the line extends upwards. In the same two sheets column groupings behave differently as well. I really don't want this. Anybody got a clue about what is going on? many thanks Rod |

You can tell excel where to put the summary rows.
