Good / Bad color highlighting in ribbon

I had Good (green), Bad (Red), Questionable (Orange) highlighting quick
buttons on the ribbon. Now after a shutdown and restart they are no longer
there. How and what settings can I use to get them back?

Hi there! It sounds like the color highlighting quick buttons on your Excel ribbon have disappeared after a shutdown and restart. Don't worry, this is a common issue and can be easily fixed. Here's what you can do:
  1. Right-click on any blank area of the ribbon and select "Customize the Ribbon" from the drop-down menu.
  2. In the Excel Options window that appears, select the "Customize Ribbon" tab on the left-hand side.
  3. Look for the group of buttons that contained the Good, Bad, and Questionable highlighting buttons. It may be under a custom tab or under the Home tab.
  4. Make sure the checkbox next to the group name is checked. If it's not, check it and click "OK" to save the changes.
  5. If the group is already checked, click on the group name to expand it and make sure the buttons are still there. If they're not, you can add them back by clicking the "New Group" button and then selecting the appropriate buttons from the list on the right-hand side.
  6. Once you've made any necessary changes, click "OK" to close the Excel Options window.

Your color highlighting quick buttons should now be back on your Excel ribbon. If you have any other issues or questions, feel free to ask!

I've discorvered its all to do with the size of excel window. eg enlarge or maximise excel window, and behold! the cell styles you seek will appear.
