check against a lottery database
Hello all .. I am new to forums , So please bear with me.
I have a reasonable knowledge EXCEL , and cell fomulas, and respectfully request help with a personal project,,,,,.I have tried all sorts of cell fomulas but with no luck at all ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------- I am trying to check a single row of my 6 set numbers ...[ NOTE .. its only 6 cells wide ] , against my database to discover any prizes that may have been won in the whole of the lottery history. ... Thats ...6 balls, 5 plus bonus, 5 balls, 4 balls, 3 balls prizes only. I have made up an XL database of approx 1450 rows of past draw results.... { NOTE ..7 cells in width since the bonus ball is also drawn.} ... These results are are in rows D33 to D1488 in the database. The line that I need to check is in row D6 : I6 ,, and I would like the cell fomula to acheive my aim , to put in say cell L33. I obviously could then copy & paste the formula down to the last row of the database. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------- Is it possible to diplay only the winning results in column L ,( below cell L33 , or is that asking too much ??? Thanks in anticipation of a reply or two. PAUL |

the formula is an "Array-Formula" to be set with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER Micky "PAULGOR" wrote: Hello all .. I am new to forums , So please bear with me.
