Default HOW TO FORMAT THE HOME KEY WITHOUT USING CTRL

In the previous version of Excel that I was using when you used the home key
it brought you to the beginning of the worksheet.
In 2007 you have to use the Ctrl Home to go to the beginning. Is there a
shortcut to go directly to the beginning of the worksheet without using Ctrl?
Thank-you

Home key takes you to ColA of the current row. Ctrl+Home takes you to cell
A1. It is same for both 2003 & 2007...Which version are you referrring to..

What version of XL were you using?

At least in 2003, Home takes you to first cell in the row. (just like it
works in most text editing software) Ctrl+Home take you the beginning of
spreadsheet.

In previous version Home key would take you to column A, same row, as others
have pointed out.

BUT.........if you had ToolsOptionsTransition Navigation Keys enabled Home
would take you to A1
