Automatic Copying
Hi all,
Can you enter data into a worksheet within a workbook and have it automatically go into a different worksheet within the same workbook? Thanks, RB |
Hi
use a cell reference such as ='sheet1'!A1 -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany RBTenF wrote: Hi all, Can you enter data into a worksheet within a workbook and have it automatically go into a different worksheet within the same workbook? Thanks, RB |
What you can do is right click on the cellyou want to copy and select copy.
Next go to the cell(s) you want to the data copied to and right click and select "paste special". A dialogue box will pop up and on it will be a button "paste link" click it and the data in the original cellwill follow whatever the entered or calculated value is in the original cell. Extra tip at half price - If you are pasting to a lot of cells you can click on the cell and hit "Ctrl Y" this command repeats the last action. You can repeat the right click paste link if you prefer mouse usage over keyboard but my experience is that for multiple repeated actions the "Ctrl Y" is easier, faster and easier on the carpel tunnel.
